This sixth in a series of Micro controller kits uses the PIC 16C54-RC/P from Microchip. The PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller) is a general purpose, pre-programmed 18 Pin uController. In this application the uC performs as a random number generator. To simulate Dice, the numbers must fall between 1&6. Internal software generates these numbers, drives two LED displays & provides "Housekeeping" routines for detecting the "Roll" switch, & putting the uC into the sleep mode when idle for more than a minute. Information on programming & software is available from Microchip & others. Disc provided to show the program in the IC. Uses 9V battery. The program in the ICs is NOT changable. K-71
