Having used Peltier Mods. for many year, and several of these above units from mpja; Convention is the leads are attached to the HOT side with Red + and Black -

	Hot & Cold Sides
The labeled side is usually the cold side. I always test with a good 1.5V battery connected for about 10 seconds just to be sure. This module works great.

	hot side cold side
Hot side is the side that the leads are attached. This allows for some heat removal by the leads. Another point to remember is to ALWAYS run with a hot side heatsink

Interested in knowing how you tell which side of the TE Module will end up being Hot and which Cold

	Good Replacement
Installed in an Igloo refrigerator unit, performs better than the original if you increase the PS capacity. The 110v PS was bad on the unit I repaired too, so I beefed up the PS to 8.5A.
