As an example:
ABS plastic contains styrene
PVC wire insulation can contain Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)
electrolytic capacitors can contain Ethylene glycol
Brass can contain Lead
flame retardant pc boards can contain Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA)
Aluminum alloys can contain Chromium
To put it simply we are a small company and do not have the resources to test every single part, so we list every thing as hazardous. Please recycle all electronic parts responsibly and under no circumstance eat, drink or smoke these parts and wash your hands after touching!

From the pictures I see white and red extension wire which I believe is Type J 0 to 750°C which matches description better than K –200 to 1250°C

Type K color code
The red/yellow colors are only for north america. The blue/yellow are european -> maybe german ??

Terminals crimped on insulation
The thermocouple wasnt working until I noticed that the crimp terminals are crimped on the insulation and a folded back conductor. Some how the conductor was missed.
I clipped off both terminals and stripped back to bare wire; now it is working.
My other gripe is that the color code is not the Yellow/Red I expected for a K-type. It is Blue/Red like a T-type thermocouple. I have not verified if Im seeing accurate temperatures yet.
