Definitely a best buy
I am another satisfied customer who has owned one of these for well over 10 years now. It is by far the best soldering iron I have ever owned. It is well made and nicely designed, with intuitive to operate and accurate temperature control for whatever the type of soldering work you need to use it for, degrees measured in C or F on its LED display. It is also pretty rugged - I have used it a few times in situations that were not a bench environment and as a result it has taken a few falls, surviving all so far without damage.
10+ years of satisfaction
I bought my ZD-939 soldering station around 12 years ago, in 2004. It has been my primary soldering tool since then. Im on my third replacement iron, with having quite a few instances of leaving it sit on overnight. The entire station has taken quite a few falls over the years, and so far the only part that has been broken is the plastic ring that sits in the end of the iron holder. At one time I attached a thermocouple to the tip of the iron with kapton tape for a comparison of accuracy, and the thermocouples readings were within 5 degrees of the stations. I have been completely satisfied with the station, and have recommended it on multiple occasions.

No-one has mentioned, this is ready-to work @500F, before I have found and unwound the solder Im about to use. NB the default display it powers up in is dec C, just hit thr F button, tho. Its so fast, it changed the way I work, now I can power off for 5-10 min, power right back up.
review hanging in the balance
I was soldering some wires at about 750 degrees and it quit. The fuse is good so I emailed the company. I have used it before with great results but now I just dont know.

cant beat it
i picked this up about 5 years ago.. i had been shopping for a soldering station for a while and ran across this one for 49 bux.. still using the same tip that it came with,, i picked up extra tips and iron for it along with all the attachments they make when i got it .. so after 5 years i am very happy with it

Great value for the money.
This soldering station has been my workhorse for 4 years. Buying my second one now. I have proven that it will not support the full weight of an automobile.

I was skeptical because of the price, but when I received the unit I was very impressed! Heavy, solidly built solder station that performs well. The iron as well, is well-built and not light and cheap feeling. Added the hot tweezer accessory to my order and am very please with it, too.
Definitely a Best Buy
I have owned this station for more than 2 years and it has never let me down. Tips maintain heat well. My only problem has been that a tip I have had on the unit for more than a year has bonded itself to the handle. I was trying to switch to a larger tip when I noticed the issue. With the low cost of replacement handles/heaters I just bought another one for the larger tip and left that handle with the fine tip. I also have the hot tweezers which help in removing larger parts during rework. Overall a fantastic tool at a great price.
