Great for my high voltage laser power supplie. these are hard to find-awesome deal !!

good assortment | ||
Thankfully they write the value on each 10-pack, some of the colors are hard to read. Also the description doesnt include 330K or 680K, but the package does, so it has the 23 values

Are these Metal Oxide 2W, or are they Metal *Film* 2W?
As others have mentioned, this is a GREAT kit for people who work on vacuum tube audio gear. The description says metal film but metal oxide is more common in these high resistance values at 2 watts dissipation capacity. Any idea?

Yes high value, perfect for high voltages
Great kit. A little confused as to the 22, 51, and 1K being high values. Assumed that 51 was 51K and almost made a mistake.

Great for tube repairs or design work
A couple of reviewers have complained about the high values in this kit only being useful for high voltages. Well sure, but the kit’s description was very clear. What did you expect? A lot of hobbyists work with tube gear: radios, muisical instrument amps and high-end stereo equipment. These higher values will be useful to replace old carbon composition resistors. For just a few cents each, everyone should be happy with these kits.

Great for HV projects! | ||
High value high power resistors are usually either hard to find or quite expensive, but this assortment is neither. This assortment has values that let you fine tune that NST ballast or laser tube supply. What a find!
2 Watt resistor kit | ||
Excellent assortment for restoring antique tube radios.

Depends on what you need them for.
Perfect values for the restoration and repair of antique radios, classic tube amps, older ham radio and old test gear.
High values not practical for most applications
Good low values but any above about 20k would likely never get used. Better deal if same quantity but more lower values.

Too many high values | ||
A kit of 2W metal oxide resistors would be useful to me, but it doesnt make sense to have a kit biased so strongly toward high values. At 100k ohms, 2 watts implies 447 volts RMS, and at 1Mohm, its 1400 volts. Something like 3/4 of the resistors in the kit are really only useful if youre working with high voltages.
