A Mini toggle Electronic Switch is the most common switch found in or on electronic equipment such as power supplies, amplifiers test equipment and electrical panels. The Mini Toggle usually has an actuator usually shaped like a bat. A Mini Toggle Electronic Switch is one that fits in a #10 or a 1/4in Hole in a panel or is soldered to a circuit board. A Mini Toggle will have eyelet terminals wire attachment or posts for inserting into circuit boards. Some basic definitions used regarding Mini Toggle Electronic Switches are: Normally Open: NO; Meaning Contact is not connected with Actuator at Rest. Example: SPST-NO Normally Closed: NC; Meaning Contact is connected with Actuator at Rest. Example: SPST-NC. SP meaning Single Pole, 1 contact set for a single circuit, DP meaning Double Pole, 2 contact sets, for 2 circuits. 3P meaning 3Pole, 3 contact sets, etc. ST meaning Single Throw, the switch is closed or open, ON or OFF, 2 actuator positions shown as “ON/OFF”. DT meaning Double Throw, Switch has a common that alternates between 2 other contacts, 1 on, other off, 2 actuator positions shown as “ON/ON” or “ON/NONE/ON” where “NONE” means exactly that. A DT Center OFF Switch has a common that connects between 2 other contacts, 1 on other off, except now there is a center position where both contacts are Open with 3 actuator positions shown as “ON/OFF/ON”.
A Momentary Mini Toggle Electronic Switch has the above actions except the stated contact function is maintained as long as actuator is held. When released, actuator returns to the Rest position. 2 or 3 actuator positions are shown as OFF/(ON), or OFF/MOM for a Single Throw, ON/(ON) or ON/MOM for Double Throw with no center off or ON/OFF/(ON); ON/OFF/MOM for Double with a Throw-Center Off. You can also have a Center Off with Momentary in both directions, Shown as (ON)/OFF/(ON) or MOM/OFF/MOM. Also available as Momentary OFF shown as “ON/(OFF)”. We offer a wide selection of Mini Toggle Electronic Switches for all your switching needs.
