Interesting gadget | ||
The video demo says it all... for entertainment only... but the thing works and it does detect E and H fields. If you want quantitative measurements, youll need a more expensive instrument. I am not sure it would be a reliable indicator of a leaky microwave oven. Just about anything turns the harmful warning on. Dont expect too much, but Id say its worth the $30 bucks.
Microwave Question | ||
Does anyone know how useful this would be as a microwave over leakage meter? Im not looking for accuracy. I have a very old microwave over. Im sure its leaking. Im just curious how much? Thanks

Nice gadget to have... | ||
Not sure if this is very useful. Virtually every electronic component is unsafe when close-up according to the alarm. If you need to quantify electromagnetic radiation, the price does not get any better than this. I use it as a non-contact voltage sensor for power supplies and transformers. Useless, but I like it! Not sure if it picks up otherworldly entities, but it is basically the same gadget the ghost hunters use on TV!
