Fan Guards are sized to match the fan size so are marketed that way (3-5/8” Fan Guard fits a 3-5/8” fan) therefore will fit both AC & DC Axial Fans. Useful as a vent cover where there is no fan. Fan guards, also known as Finger Guards, were developed to provide protection for users as well as the fan itself and the equipment’s internal parts. Fan Guards provide an economical way to protect as well as allow cooling. Instead of having to punch louvers, slots or drill a ton of holes, all we need is one large airway hole and 2-4 screw holes. Since the Fan Guard is installed at the same time as the fan and usually uses the same mounting screws as the fan, assembly costs are reduced. While some Fan Guards are plastic, ours are steel for safety as well as durability. The Fan Guard can be mounted on the outside or inside of the equipment or both if safety is a concern.
