Arduino is great, power adapter is 12V 12/4/2019
The board itself is fine and works well. Two slight issues: the supplied USB cable is very short. The power adapter is 12V. Typically Arduino adapters are more like 6V. This is a problem if driving significant loads like e.g. an LCD display with bright backlight. The little 5V regulator on the Arduino must dissipate the extra power and in my case it gets hot enough to smell a bit. Bottom line: fine for just playing around but if you plan to supply a power-hungry shield, find a 6 or 7V power supply.

Iduino Arduino UNO clone 3/23/2018
This is my first time trying to program an Arduino. I bought this Iduino clone and followed Lady Adas tutorials here lesson 0: https://learn.adafruit.com/ladyadas-learn-arduino-lesson-number-0/take-a-tour and here lesson 1: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-arduino-lesson-1-blink/loading-the-blink-example YAY!!! It worked! I can program the blink program on/off times using the Arduino IDE that I installed in lesson 0. Next, time to do the next lesson... I am happy that I saved the $5. Be sure to put this board on something that does not conduct--not metal!
