As of August 2018 the State of California has changed the requirements of the Prop 65 law. We now must list on our website any possible chemicals the can cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive problem.
As an example:
ABS plastic contains styrene
PVC wire insulation can contain Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)
electrolytic capacitors can contain Ethylene glycol
Brass can contain Lead
flame retardant pc boards can contain Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA)
Aluminum alloys can contain Chromium
To put it simply we are a small company and do not have the resources to test every single part, so we list every thing as hazardous. Please recycle all electronic parts responsibly and under no circumstance eat, drink or smoke these parts and wash your hands after touching!
Several others have said they couldnt get an FTDI Driver to work with it. Thats understandable since it doesnt use the FDTI chip and uses the CH340 USB chip instead. This board is not a genuine Arduino and is a clone so the manufacturers took some liberties in USB chip selection. The CH340 drivers are out there, but I agree with other reviewers that MPJA should provide a download. Im using Win7 with no issues.
I tested the board and it works fine. One thing is that you need to select Old Bootloader under Processor or you cant download anything to it. Also, if you compile the Blink example, be sure to change the LED pin to D13 since the Nano uses a different pin than some.
Lastly, you can save yourself some aggravation if you skip soldering in the ISP header. You probably wont need it since downloads work directly from the USB.

I was unable to find a Win 10 driver for this board. If MPJA continues to sell it, they should provide a driver link!

Im new to Arduino and electronics but these seem like great little boards and the value is GREAT! Worked great straight out of the box. You do need to solder the header pins on before you can use a breadboard.

Good luck finding the driver for this board if you have an old operating system, Vista. Even with a newer system lots of folks having trouble with it...
WARNING about USB chip!
After struggling with erratic operation, I found the answer on the Arduino Forum! Pin 26 of the FTDI USB chip ..bottom of board.. MUST BE GROUNDED, and on this board, IT ISNT! THANKFULLY, pin25 *IS*, so with CAREFUL hands, a good magnifier, and sharp tip soldering iron, a SMALL solder blob between pins 25 and 26 on the USB chip cures the issue! WHEW! I was getting ready to return the board! Now, I plan to buy more in the near future... but if possible, please have this fixed on new builds!
This board is a single step above the bare bones Mini. It includes the USB interface and loader so it will connect directly to a PC, etc. for programming and monitoring. The Mini requires an external USB to serial TTL dongle.
These boards have an amazing amount of processing power, use micro amounts of energy and are tiny small. I use these in embedded projects and with the interface I can easily connect my computer for monitoring, debug or reprogramming without worrying about where I left my USB dongle from the last project!
