Compatable USB-Blaster™ Download Cable interfaces a USB port on a host computer to an Altera® FPGA/CPLD mounted on a printed circuit board. The cable sends configuration data from the PC to a standard 10-pin header connected to the FPGA/CPLD. You can use the USB-Blaster cable to iteratively download configuration data to a system during prototyping or to program data into the system during production. Ideal for protyping dedicated controllers etc.
Altera CPLD/FPGA Devices series: MAX, FLEX, APEX, EPC NOTE: See www.mpja.com Support Files (Blaster Support Table, Device Support) for list
Supply V: 5.0 V from the host USB cable
Between 1.5 V and 5.0 V from the target circuit board
Includes: USB Blaster, 11in. 10pin Target cable, 4ft. USB Host Cable NOTE: NO Documentation supplied with this unit.
This is a logic arrray programmer that requires you to download Software (Recommend free Quartus II) from Altera (Blaster Support Table Downloads) link on mpja.com).

As an example:
ABS plastic contains styrene
PVC wire insulation can contain Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)
electrolytic capacitors can contain Ethylene glycol
Brass can contain Lead
flame retardant pc boards can contain Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA)
Aluminum alloys can contain Chromium
To put it simply we are a small company and do not have the resources to test every single part, so we list every thing as hazardous. Please recycle all electronic parts responsibly and under no circumstance eat, drink or smoke these parts and wash your hands after touching!
Able to Resurrect Old Altera University Program UP1
Was a bit leery since price is $5-10 less that other sites and feared being obsoleted due to Windows 10, but was able to resurrect an old Altera CPLD/FPGA University Board for some limited/targeted R&D on semi phased-out Altera chips.
The secret is to get the version of Quartus II that supports your legacy device before Intel/Altera disappears it - then simply follow the driver installation at
Would give 5 stars but not 100% repeatable on downloads - sometimes fails in verification - possibly a JTAG loading/termination issue ...
