As of August 2018 the State of California has changed the requirements of the “Prop 65” law. We now must list on our website any possible chemicals the can cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive problem.
As an example: ABS plastic contains styrene PVC wire insulation can contain Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) electrolytic capacitors can contain Ethylene glycol Brass can contain Lead flame retardant pc boards can contain Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) Aluminum alloys can contain Chromium To put it simply we are a small company and do not have the resources to test every single part, so we list every thing as hazardous. | Becase they are water resistant, I use these around the outside edge of the canopy of our golf cart. They are great and very versatile. One little complaint is that between every 3 LEDs is a section of bare copper conductors where you can cut the strip to needed length. Over time the clear PVC encapsulation discolors there and turns brown. Also, since it doesnt specifically state it, the 5m strip length does not include the 3-1/2 inches of connector wires on each end, and the distance from the first to the last LED is 194-3/4. | ||

Very bright LED strip | |
| This LED strip is very bright and consistent. All of the lights are consistent, with no dead bulbs. I would recommend this to anybody looking for good quality LED lights. | ||
