good for what it is, but missing a useful piece
Im a newbie in the mech world, and this starter kit works as shown, but what is missing is a ballscrew nut housing, i.e. a metal block to attach to the ballscrew nut. This nut housing is needed to provide a surface so that a piece of metal or whatever it is you intend can connect the ballscrew drive with the two rails. I found one on amazon that may not for sure work, and it is $10. I think it should be in the kit, similar kits often include it.

Bow/bend in lead screw rod. Will try to get exchanged. UPDATE
Well, Ill start with Ill NO longer do business with MPJA. I went in their store and ordered $127 worth of items this trip. Im local to them. I saw something like what I had bought there before 500mm cnc 3d kit and asked for a price on it. Told Marlin Lee I paid $40 last time for something just like it. He said $40 is fine. I told him it was more than I wanted to spend. Now I did not tell him the first one I bought there was bend/defective and I still have it and can not use it, or that I shopped there 3 times since I bought it and once again forgot to bring it in for a swap. I figured I would buy this one. But $80 to get a working single axis was too much. I think he was offended. But when he said to me, well thanks for stopping by, twice and walked off. I was ticked. His employee saw I was upset and I explained, he said bring it in and he will swap it next week. But the comment to me really made me mad. I was a repeat customer for YEARS, even at their last location, no one should be told Thanks for stopping by... Twice, I guess to make sure I heard. I think that was RUDE. I am in there 1-2 times a month and spend probably $100 avg. per month. I have sent a lot of friends and family there. He denied saying he said this, but if he did, I took it the wrong way and he was sorry. Thats like telling me Im not wanted in his store. He will not have to worry about that again. Very professional. For years Ive shopped there, my loyalty meant nothing, but I can take that with me. Maybe the mask I had one he did not know it was me. I will keep the bent 500mm threaded rod and the linear road holders that will not lock down tight. My loss, but I will be someone else gain as a new customer.
