|Works well, small caveat.||7/15/2021|
|Dont expect this transformer to provide enough voltage for a 13.8V regulated power supply at 8 amps! It wasnt intended for that. The rectified, filtered, unloaded voltage is about 16V. That drops to 13.6V at about 2 amps, and down to about 12v at 8 amps. It is rated 12V at 8 amps, and that is what it does, and does it well. I built a supply and used an FET in a low-dropout regulator circuit to get 13.2 volts at up to about 2 amps. I am happy with it, as it did meet my expectations for a very clean, regulated, linear supply to power an SDR system.|
