||Bi-Polar 2-Phase Correction
|I purchased a small number of these stepper motors. I am happy with them. These are Bi-Polar stepper motors, with 2 phase coils, for a total of 4 wires. There is one extra 5th wire, but is a chassis ground wire. Thus, this is not a Uni-Polar stepper motor as advertised, where you generally have 2 coils with a center tap on each coil 6-wire stepper. By the way, the gear attached to this stepper motor matches up perfectly, pitchwise, with VEX Robotics type plastic gears. I sort of bought these for use with VEX projects. You will need to build a high voltage bi-polar motor controller that can output 56V, or run these motors with perhaps 48 volts that most MPJA stepper motor controllers can handle at maximum.|
