This kit decodes all DTMF tones including 0-9,#,* , A-D. Can use any source for the DTMF tone, such as phone line, scanner, etc. You use a jumper to connect 1 of 16 outputs to drive the internal relay. When selected digit is detected the relay is energized. By adding additional external relays you can control up to 16 different devices. Relay is energized as long as tone is detected. By adding external flip-flops or delay circuits you obtain "toggle" or time out actions. Ideal building block for more complicated circuits. Turn on your AC unit from your office. Use your cell phone to activate an outside light. Internal relay is rated DPDT 1A max @ 12VDC/115VAC resistive; so if a heavy or high power load is expected you should use the internal relay to control a heavier external relay.
