WARNING about USB chip!
After struggling with erratic operation, I found the answer on the Arduino Forum! Pin 26 of the FTDI USB chip ..bottom of board.. MUST BE GROUNDED, and on this board, IT ISNT! THANKFULLY, pin25 *IS*, so with CAREFUL hands, a good magnifier, and sharp tip soldering iron, a SMALL solder blob between pins 25 and 26 on the USB chip cures the issue! WHEW! I was getting ready to return the board! Now, I plan to buy more in the near future... but if possible, please have this fixed on new builds!

Nano 3.0
This board is a single step above the bare bones Mini. It includes the USB interface and loader so it will connect directly to a PC, etc. for programming and monitoring. The Mini requires an external USB to serial TTL dongle. These boards have an amazing amount of processing power, use micro amounts of energy and are tiny small. I use these in embedded projects and with the interface I can easily connect my computer for monitoring, debug or reprogramming without worrying about where I left my USB dongle from the last project!
